Welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. We are a Dual Language Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles serving the children of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Downey. Founded in 1948, Our Lady School was staffed by three Sisters of Notre Dame with an enrollment of 124 students in grades one through six. Today, we minister to approximately 350 students from Transitional Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Our Dual Language Immersion program is currently TK-6th grade and will continue to grow each year. Our students receive instruction in English and Spanish. OLPH is proud of its highly qualified teachers, the majority of whom hold Masters degrees in addition to their California Teaching Credential. We have designated Art and Music teachers, both of whom have an educational background in those fields. The high standard of education that is provided at OLPH prepares students for Catholic high school. Annually, we have a 100% acceptance rate into selective Southern California Catholic high schools. The school is fully accredited by Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
