There are many ways to donate to OLPH School. Some cost you nothing and many offer tax advantages. OLPH School strongly suggests you talk to your financial and legal advisors to determine the method that will be most beneficial to you.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help School is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
We are completely responsible for the full funding of school activities, improvements and programs.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help School receives no State or Federal tax dollars.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help School receives no financial support from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Cash Gifts
Cash donations are always welcome and probably the simplest way to support the students of OLPH School. There are three areas you may choose to direct your gift:
- The school’s general fund: Your gift will be used immediately to purchase teaching supplies, textbooks, library materials, computer equipment and more.
- Tuition Assistance: Your gift will enable a student in need to attend OLPH School.
- In Memory/Honor of: All gifts given in honor of or in memory of a loved one will be placed in the OLPH Annual Fund unless otherwise directed. Just as the memories of your loved one lives on in perpetuity so too will the gift in their honor.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Tile Garden
The Tile Garden: The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Tile Garden was unveiled in 1999 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Catholic Education at Our Lady’s School. The hand painted tile wall is located on north side of the school campus. The wall is a beautiful depiction of the Madonna on a hill with children at her feet. This design was adapted from a variety of drawings submitted by the school children.
Our Lady families, alumni, friends, grandparents and parishioners may purchase a personalized tile to be placed on the wall. The cost of a tile is $125.00. There are a variety of tile style choices. All tiles are adorned with a cross.
The purchase of a Tile will allow OLPH School to continue to provide academic excellence in a faith-filled setting for not only current students but for future generations as well! Funds from the Tile Garden will ensure the financial future of the school. Tile Wall Order Information

OLPH Program
The OLPH Scrip Program is a simple way to support our school. Simply purchase Gift Cards from the school office or at ShopWithScrip.com. A percentage of the value of the card will be donated to our school. Gift Cards are available for most restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, movie theatres and shops. O.L.P.H. of Downey Educational Foundation has been established by the O.L.P.H. Class of 2007!
The Foundation’s mission is to “provide financial assistance to deserving boys and girls of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help community whose families do not have the resources to provide them with a Catholic education”. We believe that this Foundation will allow us to promote the importance of a Catholic education for all children. Our foundation plans to promote academic excellence by identifying and assisting worthy students to reach their fullest potential and work to foster an appreciation for the value of pursuing a higher education. We are confident that Catholic education will always play an important part in our parish and we are committed to supporting our school’s staff as they continue on their educational mission.

The Ashley Vargas Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory of Ashley Vargas, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Graduate Class of 1999. Ashley attended Warren High School and graduated as a National Merit Scholar with a 4.6 Grade Point Average. Ashley was a Varsity Cheerleader at Warren High School for 2 years. She went on to attend the University of Southern California as a Broadcast Journalism Major. Ashley was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority at U.S.C. She passed away at the age of 18 in February 2004.
The Fund has been established by friends and family to encourage OLPH Eighth Grade students to follow in Ashley’s footsteps by focusing on academics and furthering their education. To qualify for a scholarship award, OLPH 8th Grade students must exhibit a love for writing, school spirit and a desire to pursue a college education.
A committee consisting of members of Ashley’s family and the OLPH community administer the Fund.
