Catholic Education Foundation Tuition Awards Program
posted by Mrs. Davis on Thursday, March 8th, 2012
The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) sponsors a Tuition Awards Program that is designed to assist students in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles with tuition for enrollment in Catholic schools. The award partially offsets the cost of enrollment in a Catholic school with grants paid directly to the Catholic schools. Applicants’ families must meet the financial need guidelines and have their income verified (This year’s current income tax returns, last year’s complete income tax returns plus this year’s W-2s) by the pastor or principal. The deadline for submission of the application and necessary financial documentation is this Friday, March 9th. Applications submitted without proper income verification will be returned to the parent. More information and applications are available in the school office.
Our next “Wear Jeans for a Dollar Day” will be this week– Wednesday, March 7th for Grades 3 and 5 and Thursday, March 8th for grades k,1,2,4,6,7,&8. We remind you that “Skinny Jeans/jeggings” are not acceptable for wear at OLPH School. “Skinny jeans/ jeggings,” are too form-fitting and do not reflect an appropriate image for our Catholic school students. Non Uniform Dress choices should provide the same modesty as do our school uniform. Our goal is for our students to dress in good taste and not wear anything of a suggestive nature. Students who to choose wear clothing that is unacceptable will lose the privilege for the remainder of the school year. The Non Uniform Dress policy as published in our Family Handbook which is available on our website www.ourladyschool.com
Remember funds from Wear Jeans for a Dollar Day go to support two children through the Children’s International Organization. Aubrey Moonga from Zambia and Md Yasin Alam from India
