Literature: Re-read the Sam McGee poem on pg. 708– of the 15 stanzas, please select a “found poem”– 1 line per stanza– and write your own found poem that best SUMMARIZES this narrative poem.
Social Studies: Re-read the Machiavelli excerpts from The Prince and create the Venn diagram from your ideas of a leader (created in class). The overlapping piece should show how you agree with Machiavelli, the left should show where Machiavelli stands and you DO NOT, and the right can show where you stand and Machiavelli does not.
Literature: Read Anne Frank pg. 217-229 (up to May 9th). Be prepared to discuss tomorrow.
SPEECH CONTEST will conclude tomorrow. If you have not gone yet, you WILL go tomorrow.
