Packets, packets and more packets!

The 5th graders are very busy! They have been given red packets with information about the Revolutionary War, brown packets filled with information about Colonial America and activities for parents and students, and a purple packet that is a self-evaluation for the 2nd trimester. Please look through all of these packets with your child. See Mrs. Arcadio if you have any questions.

5th Grade Letters

The students have been writing letters in English class. So far we have written and sent out friendly letters, and soon we will write business letters to the departments of tourism for the Eastern region states.

5th grade Trade Fair

The 5th grade had there annual Trade Fair today! This activity demonstrated how Colonial America bartered goods. Students made bookmarks, jewelry, picture frames, and a variety of other wonderful hand-crafted items to “trade” with their fellow classmates.

Groundhog Day!

Groundhog Day Special Cupcakes

You can help in 3 ways:

Donate 40 cupcakes with PLAIN frosting (smooth, any flavor, no sprinkles or decorations)

Donate any of the following supplies: (circle one)

40 Fun Size Butterfinger bars (approximate size: 2 inches)

1 bag MINI M&Ms (found in the baking section) MINI, not regular size.
**These are also sold in small plastic tubes at grocery store checkouts. If you get the tubes, we will need about 7-8.

2 boxes regular Mike & Ikes candy (These are white and pink)

Come and help the children decorate the cupcakes. (we will need about 6 parents to help)

Drama Club presents: “The Invisible Man”

There’s something weird going on at the Coach & Horses Inn…
There have been unexplained robberies in town, a mysterious man wrapped in bandages and some lousy cooking. Join us on next Tuesday night, January 31st at 7pm for the wonderfully wacky performance of The Invisible Man.

Tickets are on sale every day after school. Student ticket prices are only $3.00. Get your tickets before they disappear!
