Rite of Enrollment

Next Tuesday evening, January 10th our first grade students and their families will gather in the church at 7 pm for a special liturgy called “The Rite of Enrollment.” This Rite formally acknowledges and welcomes students and their families preparing for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Here at Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish, student preparation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion is a two year process. It has been determined that two consecutive years of Religious Education fosters a deeper faith development and prepares the child for a more complete experience of each sacrament. Please remember that preparing a child for a sacrament includes attending Mass on a weekly basis.
