Yesterday the church celebrated the Solemnity of the Epiphany.  Epiphany is the celebration of Christ revealing Himself to the world.  The second chapter of the Gospel of Matthew tells us about the Magi who traveled from the East and offered the Lord their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.  This day is often called Little Christmas, and in many European cultures, it is the traditional day for gift giving. Our first graders have been in preparation for our Epiphany Word Service, which will be held on Thursday, January 12th, at 2:00 p.m. in the hall.  This is a Dress Uniform day for all students. Our first grade Grandparent’s Day will also be held on this date. It will begin at 1:00 pm in the hall.   All parents are invited to attend.
