Happy Birthday George Washington!
Today we will continue to honor our past and present Presidents by paying tribute to our Nation’s first President. We will read a story titled, “If You Grew up George Washington” and make patriotic hats in his honor as well.
On Tuesday, February 23, 2010 we will have an ice-cream sundae party. Your students have met their second goal of the year, by earning 200 marbles in their class marble jar. They have continued to work as a team, set a goal, and accomplished their goals in a timely manner. Congratulations grade 2!
Tuesday is also “dollar dress” day, so remember to bring in your dollar to wear jeans. The money you bring in continue to support Aubrey and Nafisha, our “sister and brother” who we have adopted through Children’s International.
On Wednesday, please remember to send your child in his/her Olympicathon shirts and turn in your Olympicathon envelope as well.
On Thursday the speech contest finalists will perform their speech in school.
Friday, we will be going to mass, so it will be dress uniform for all students!
Thanks and God Bless!
